There's an old filmmaker's addage
about never skimping on supplies. If you're investing time and effort into
shooting something and paying a model hundreds of dollars, why in the world
would you try to save $5 by using a cheaper tape in the camera? It just doesn't
make sense, but that's what a lot of folks do. You've seen 'em. Even the big
studios. They shoot the videos with the lowest quality equipment then dub
them so poorly that they look like Aunt Sarah's worn out soap opera tape.
Why?
Spend $20 on a major Hollywood
video and it looks great. Spend $75 on some slick video from a large "adult
entertainment" studio and it looks like crap. Doesn't make sense does
it?
Well, from the getgo, I decided
that 2SCM was going to be different. I've used the best quality master tapes
and I've kept the entire process digital, from shooting to editing to dubbing...
all the way until it's recorded off to your tape. Even your VHS tape is the
best quality available... and it's blue just
to show you that it's not run of the mill. And yeah, I know it's still gonna
play the same no matter if the shell is blue or black, but I wanted something
different, something you could SEE and know that it's not just another video.
On the side of each tape, you'll also see a "2SCM Genuine Video"
security label. With it there, you know that what you're getting is a genuine
StraightCollegeMen.com item.
I
hope to show that the little guy can do it... and do it well.
Hopefully you'll agree. <g>
